Jap Preorder Information (Jill Stuart)

Started out from a love of the JS products, we launched our online preorder service in 2007, with the aim to bring Jill Stuart cosmetics to people in Singapore and other countries.

We purchase our Jill Stuart items from JS boutiques personally and bring the items back to Singapore. Working on a preorder basis, thechicshop does not have any in stock items. But the good thing is, you can get any item (of course, except perfumes) you wish just by placing an order.

Although we really wish to carry limited edition Jill Stuart products, but being stationed in Singapore makes it impossible as the people rush to make their purchases on the first day of product launches. (Yes, some JS coffers are really popular) Our modus operandi for thechicshop is that we try to make about 3 trips overeseas – one early in the year, the second in midyear and the last, towards the end of the year.

You’ve got mail!: To alert those interested in preordering with us about the dates of our trips, we post up the dates at least 1.5 months in advance and we also follow up with an email. For those interested in our preorder service, you can simply drop us an email at thechicshop@yahoo.com.sg to request to be included in our mailing list for our preorder service.

Knock, knock, anyone home?: Often, nearer to our departure dates, we get flooded with mails asking us about our preorder service as well as quotations. As there is only one of us who is manning the emails, we would love to get drowned with emails weeks in advance. And hence we beseech everyone to drop your queries and orders early. We try to allocate the job of answering emails to one person at any one time to ensure consistency in our mails (unless our full-time job prevents us from doing us). In any case, all emails will be answered within 36 hours.

The clinking sound of money:

For preorders from Singapore, payment will be via local bank transfer to our POSB account. For those who are uncomfortable in paying large sums of money, we accept an upfront deposit of 50%. Upon our return to Singapore, we will either request for the rest of the outstanding and then mail out the item/s, or collect it when we meet-up.

For preorders from other countries, payment can be made via paypal. We will send a payment request in Singapore dollars to you once your order is confirmed. Paypal allows payment via credit cards or paypal funds. For those who are uncomfortable in paying large sums of money, we accept an upfront deposit of 50%. Upon our return to Singapore, we will request for the second half of the payment before mailing out the item/s.

For orders from Singapore: You can choose either a meet-up or a mail delivery. If you wish to get registered post, there will be a one-time charge of S$2.30 for each parcel.

For orders from other countries: We will only mail the items out via registered post. You can choose between air or surface mail. Depending on which part of the world you are located, air mail will take about 6-12 working days while surface mail takes weeks. The estimated cost of delivery is S$12 for the first item and S$3 each for light items e.g. brushes and lip products, and S$6 each for all other items.

An administrative charge of 3.5% will be charged.
